The end of the school is here...
I hope you don't take this as just another end to a school year, but as one that saw you grow, mature, and learn. From the first day of school to today, I have seen how you have grown not only in height but academically as well. I am positive that you are more than ready for what is to come in your future, whether you are staying with us or moving on to high school. Always remember to SOAR! Falcons, this is week 2 of the last six weeks of the 2017-2018 school year! In two weeks our 8th grade students will be taking the Algebra I EOC exam and in 3 weeks everyone will take the rest of the STAAR exams. Make sure to come to school every day...don't miss out...be ready to test like a champion!

This week, 7th grade students will be taking Math DBM2 on Monday, April 16th. Students in eighth grade will take Science DBM2 on April 16 and SS DBM2 on Tuesday, April 17th.

Welcome back from another break...I hope you enjoyed your four day weekend!

Six Weeks exams, District Benchmarks, and STAAR exams are all here! This week most of you will be taking six weeks exams. Next week you will be taking benchmarks, 7th grade students will be taking the Writing STARR, and 8th grade students will be taking the Reading STAAR. Yes, the time is here for you to show your potential. We know that you will be able to not only pass the test but achieve a  Masters level! COME TO SCHOOL EVERY DAY...final tips and lessons are being covered in your classes before the benchmarks and STAAR exams.

Welcome back, I hope that all students, teachers, and staff members enjoyed their break. I sure did! Everyone should be alert and ready to conquer what is ahead of us. 51 school days left and in between those days, we have projects, benchmarks, six weeks exams, reviews, and STAAR exams. Make sure that you are staying on task at all times. Also, make sure to always be responsible and respectful, you are a Falcon!

Week 2 of the 5th Six Weeks...
Spring Break is around the corner, but before that we have 5 full days of instruction. Come to school every day, you will have plenty of time to rest in the days to come.
With so many things going around in our nation and community, I want for you to know that you are not alone an that we are here for you and for your peers. Every single person in this school cares about you and we want to make sure you succeed academically, but before you can do that we need to make sure that your heart and mind are ready for school. School counselors are also available at the three middle schools. If you don't know how to approach them, let me or anyone else at our campus know.

4 more days and we are off for Spring Break 2018!

TELPAS Online Testing and SCYF Week!!!!

February has been jam-packed with testing (interim, benchmarks, and TELPAS).
Thank you students, teachers, and staff members for your cooperation through it all! As we move on to March, let me remind you that we will continue to prepare you to become great scholars. Listen to your teachers, they are wise individuals and know what's best for you.

Continue to come to school every day! We need to move forward with you and we can only do so if you are present.

If you are participating at the SCYF, you must meet up with your teachers to pick up any missing work.

Hello Falcons! Monday and Tuesday (until 11:00) of this week you can order your Valen-O-Grams. They will be delivered by student council members on Valentine's Day during 2nd period. Make sure to get yours early.

The 4th Six Weeks will soon come to an end, make sure you stay current with all of your classes. I know that many of you have extra-curricular activities to tend to, school is and should be your top priority. If you have been out, make sure to make time to speak to your teachers about your missing assignments.

This week students will be taking Reading and Math Interim Assessments. Make sure students come to school everyday so that they don't miss these assessments. 

Congratulations to our February Falcons of the Month

Las week was an exciting week due to the cold weather...once again, we were able to experience snow (some flurries...but snow nonetheless).
This week we should be back to "normal" and we expect you to come to school everyday unless you are sick and have doctor's orders to stay at home. We still have plenty to do and you need to be present in order to keep up with your classes.

ATTENTION 8TH GRADE VMS:
VMS 8th grade students will be taking the panoramic picture tomorrow, Tuesday, January 23, 2018. You will report to VMS and after picture, a bus will bring you to Ac2E MS. If you are interested in purchasing the picture, bring money Wednesday and turn it in to me, Ms. D. Cantu or Mrs. Leslie in the front office. Cost: $25 or $35 for a large laminated panoramic and a medium one.

What causes a jet stream from a plane?

These trails are actually called contrails, short for “condensation trails”. They are not smoke from the engines, they are formed when the water in jet exhaust (and there's quite a lot of it, like car exhaust on a cold day) mixes with wet cold air, and condenses and freezes into ice crystals.

Welcome back FALCONS!

I hope that you have had plenty of time (I'm sure) to rest and recharge your brains and bodies. We will continue to work hard to prepare you to be not only a better student but a better person all around. Your teachers are ready, they too needed this break, and will be full of energy come Tuesday morning. I am eager to see all of you and see how much you've grown...maybe not physically but mentally.

Your schedules here will remain the same...your electives at your home campus might change. If you or any parent have a question on schedules, please do not hesitate and call me to school at 956-352-6324.
