Week of 1/5 - 1/9

Happy New Year Falcons! I hope that you are well rested and ready to SOAR this semester! We are beginning the 4th Six Weeks of your sixth grade year...yes, the 4th Six Weeks!

Students do not report to school until Tuesday, January 6th. Enjoy one extra day as your teachers prepare to receive you for this semester.

This week:
In World History students will learn about how Ancient Greece and Rome made important contributions to European culture and civilization. Topics to be discussed: The Golden Age of Greece, The Rise of Rome and how Rome transformed from republic to empire.
-Review this slideshow with vocabulary for this week and the upcoming two weeks.

For my Technology Literacy course, this is a semester course therefore we will be together from January to May. I am looking forward to working with you and I hope that you too are excited to be in this course. We will work together to learn about new applications that can and will surely help you with your academics today and in the future.

Reminders:
Uniform policy must be adhered to at all times unless an announcement has been made by our principal Mrs. Gonzalez. 
-Pull-overs are not allowed as per district policy. Please avoid being called on.
-Warm-ups/windbreakers are not allowed. Principal will announce when you may wear them (extreme cold weather).
-You are to wear your polo-style shirt (white for 6th grade) Monday-Friday.
-You are allowed to wear a spirit shirt on Fridays. Shirts that can be worn are: Falcon black tshirt, blue Ac2E Cancer Awareness, student council shirts, home campus spirit shirts, and Rattler and Gator spirit shirts. 

We are FALCONS and as FALCONS we should set the example and abide by all rules all the time.
